He Is Big, We Are Small

Some years ago, my mom discovered that she had a poetic streak in her. We used to look forward to getting a card from her, in which, she would write a limerick to describe what was going on in our family. We would all laugh till the tears fell. None of us knew she had this “gift”. I am not sure if poetic genius or humor was her gifting but we enjoyed it none the less.

This morning was the close of our women’s small groups at church. It has been a good year of studying wisdom through Beth Moore’s, Wising Up. In wrapping up, I wanted to give the women a word of encouragement so they would be brave as they faced the summer ahead. If you don’t think a summer with children home from school does not take bravery, then you have not had a summer with children…
